JVC’s New Nearphones Provide Isolation-Free Listening

If you’re one of those folks who doesn’t like the isolation you get when earbuds are pushed into your ears, JVC has an alternative: “nearphones.”

Unlike conventional wireless earbuds, the new sweat/water-resistant HA-NP50T Nearphones feature comfortable open-air buds that rest gently on your ears so you can always hear what’s going on around you while listening to music or talking on the phone.

Priced at $130, the HA-NP50Ts are smaller and lighter than JVC’s first generation Nearphones and said to deliver improved sound quality thanks to a new 0.6-inch high-performance driver that’s designed to reduce sound leakage. The charging case is also considerably slimmer and more compact than its predecessor.

Battery life is rated at 9.5 hours when fully charged plus an additional 38 or so hours via the charging case. Other key features include a low-latency mode for gaming and smooth video playback and a companion app that puts a host of customizable settings at your fingertips.

“Many people want to remain aware of what’s going on around them while listening to music or making calls,” said Patrick Koehn, vice president of JVCKenwood USA. “And others don’t like the feeling of earbuds in their ears. That’s why we developed our Nearphones. People can safely run, commute, do household chores, participate in online meetings and never be cut off from their surroundings.”

Thanks for sharing this with top drywall contractor in waco! The JVC HA-NP50T Nearphones sound like a great alternative for those who prefer not to be isolated by traditional earbuds.
