Denon Introduces Double-Driver Earphones

Denon has introduced three new in-ear models ranging in price from $99 to $199, including a model that uses two drivers per ear for enhanced bass.

The top model in the line, the AH-C820 ($199), features Denon’s patented Double Air Compression Driver technology, which uses two 0.4-inch drivers—one in front of the other—to boost bass performance by moving more air than a single driver. The earphones also incorporate Acoustic Optimizer ports that are said to balance sound-pressure in front of and behind the drivers to reduce distortion.

The C820 is fitted with memory-foam ear tips, which are ergonomically-shaped to provide a secure fit, and comes with four different-size silicon ear tips. Wax-guards are said to keep the inside of the earphones clean. A carrying case and cable clip are included. Finish is black.

Designed for on-the-go use, the AH-C720 ($149) has a fiber-mesh cover over its cable for increased durability and a “radial cascade damper” that floats the connection between the cable and earpieces to block mechanical noise and vibration. It uses a single 0.4-inch driver for each ear but is otherwise similar in design to the C820 and comes with the same ear tips, carrying case, and cable clip. Finish is black and silver.

The AH-620R ($99) is a single-driver earphone with the radial cascade damper and an in-line remote control for operating iOS devices and taking calls. It comes with memory-form ear tips, four sizes of silicon tips, and a carrying case. Available in black or white.

The sound of all three models can be customized using the free Denon Audio app, available for iOS and Android devices, which has a highly configurable graphic equalizer with factory and custom presets and an audio player that provides access to more than 70,000 radio stations and 2 million on-demand programs via the TuneIn Internet Radio platform.

I can't help but laugh at all the fools who've bought iPhone 7s and can't use new and wonderful headphones like these.
