Definitive Technology
We all love it when a company takes something great and makes it even better. Such is the case with the newest addition to Definitive Technology's BP7000 Series. The BP7002 bipolar SuperTower incorporates a new 12-inch SuperCube subwoofer driven by a 300-watt Class D amplifier. Add two pressure-driven, 12-inch infrasonic radiators and a front- and rear-mounted driver arranged in a D'Appolito array, and the BP7002 is one powerful loudspeaker. The front and rear drivers feature two cast-basket, 5.25-inch midbass drivers that surround a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter. The BP7002 is available in a black piano gloss or cherry finish, and it measures 46.25 inches high by 7.25 wide by 16 deep. Def Tech reports the speaker's frequency response at 15 hertz to 30 kilohertz, and it's priced at $1,099.
