Launched a year ago at last year’s CEDIA, IMAX Enhanced has been busy signing new device partners such as Anthem and Strom Audio, bringing their current number of certified television and A/V receiver partners to 14. However, there has been precious little in the way of Enhanced content available to watch save for a handful of IMAX documentaries. The company was at CEDIA to announce it has signed new streaming partners to deliver content as well as studios delivering titles on physical 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc.

The cavalcade of new products to be found in the sprawling Harman booth at CEDIA includes JBL's HDI speaker lineup, a ruggedly handsome quintet featuring the company's compression driver technology and High Definition Imaging waveguides.

As most of you are likely aware, Harman is now owned by Samsung and includes a number of premier audio brands, including JBL, Revel, the recently acquired Arcam.

JVC used CEDIA Expo 2019 as a launchpad for its new LX-N23 DLP laser-driven, single chip DLP, 4K projector.

While a CEDIA focus for KEF was various new in-wall and on-wall speaker models, the company was also showing off the new KF92 subwoofer in a corner of its translucent booth.

Borrowing bling factor from high-end amps like those designed by former Krell chief Dan D’Agostino, the new i ·V 7 from Legacy Audio aims to appeal to both the ears and the eyes. You can easily get a sense of its visual allure from the photo above. On the audio front, the i ·V 7 uses iCEedge technology to deliver a specified 600-plus watts into 8 ohms with all seven of its channels driven, and up to 1kW into 4 ohms with less than 0.005% distortion.

Launched at the high-end Munich audio show this past May, Lexicon displayed its new SL-1 active loudspeaker at CEDIA. The flagship system takes a radically different approach to providing either a pinpoint audio image or room filling sound by employing a ring of individually amplified and controlled drivers. The speakers can be freely positioned and use advanced beam steering technology to aim and focus the sweet spot almost anywhere in the room to ensure the best possible sound at the listening position.
