Vava today introduced the Voom 20 portable speaker featuring a water-resistant design, wireless aptX/Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and a battery life rated for 10 hours at 80 percent volume.

The NFC-enabled speaker combines two small drivers with a pair of oblong passive “subwoofers” and a 2x8-watt amplifier in an easy-to-grab rubberized enclosure measuring 7.5 x 2.8 x 2.4 inches. Retail price is $80.

Multipoint technology makes it possible for the Voom 20 to pair with two Bluetooth devices simultaneously and switch seamlessly between them. The speaker also has an auxiliary minijack for hardwire hookups.
