U2's Latest Album Leaked

The music industry has always had a hard time controlling illegal downloads. Even when they desperately try to keep files under wraps, things happen.

U2 went to extraordinary lengths to keep their latest album, "No Line on the Horizon", from getting out to the public. Instead of sending out review copies to journalists and reviewers, they arranged "private hearing" listening parties - even going so far as collecting electronics from attendees to these listening sessions.

All to no avail. The album was leaked, and has already been downloaded about 100,000 times according to BitTorrent. Well, at least they tried. --Leslie Shapiro
