Sony's Seven New BRAVIA Sets

The Sony Bravia line is expanding with bold new models, and new sizes in previous product lines. These new Bravia XBR flat-panel LCD HDTVs bring the total number of Bravia TVs to thirty, with sizes that range from 19 inches all the way up to 70 inches.

The new releases are divided into three categories.

The top-of-the-line XBR 8-Series all have Sony's Triluminos LED backlights with 10-bit processing - crisp images with deeper blacks. What's not to like? Smoother images with 120Hz Motionflow and Bravia Engine Pro 2 processing is on tap. These sets are both 1080p HD; the KDL-55XBR8 is 55 inches, and the KDL-46XBR8 is the 46-inch model.

Kdl4070xbr7_front_pix_med Next up are the XBR 7-Series, also full 1080p HD models including a 70-inch model that's significantly more affordable than the 70-inch in the XBR8 series.

The XBR 6-Series already had 32- and 37-inch models, but now adds a full HD 1080p 40-inch, 46-inch and 52-inch model to the lineup. These lower-end models move the speakers from the side panels to a bottom mount.Kdl4046xbr6_front_no_pix_med

All of these new sets, in all lines, have optional speaker grilles colored in a choice of silver, red, brown, or gold and can be purchased separately. All of the models will be available this fall, and the prices are still not available. Full details are available here.
