"Resistance" to 3D: Futile?

Director Christopher Nolan (at right in photo, with Leonardo DiCaprio) digs good ol' 2D, as do the likes of colleagues J.J. Abrams, Joss Whedon, and Jon Favreau. Those are just some of the names cited in "Resistance Forms Against Hollywood's 3D Push" in today's edition of The New York Times.

We here at Sound+Vision have been covering 3D pretty heavily. After all, it's a new format — and covering new formats is what we do.
