This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the 110 L/R (purple trace), the 120 subwoofer (blue trace), the 106 center channel (green trace), and the 104 surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and were scaled for display purposes.

The 110's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +3.85/–7.63 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 55 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 49 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.93 ohms at 232 Hz and a phase angle of –20.43 degrees at 174 Hz.

The 106's listening-window response measures +5.02/–6.12 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +4.90/–6.61 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 75 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 67 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 5.11 ohms at 280 Hz and a phase angle of –41.08 degrees at 143 Hz.

The 104's listening-window response measures +2.23/–4.91 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 102 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 80 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 5.81 ohms at 227 Hz and a phase angle of –57.50 degrees at 150 Hz.

The 120's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 46 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 37 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 228 Hz with the low-pass control set to maximum.—MJP
