LG SC9 and SE6 Dolby Atmos Soundbars Now Available

LG Electronics USA has announced the pricing and availability of its 2023 LG Sound Bar C (SC9) and LG Eclair SE6 models. These new soundbars are designed to complement its 2023 TV range, both in appearance and performance. LG claims the Sound Bar C is the first to integrate advanced cinematic technologies from IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X while employing triple up-firing height channels.

The 3.1.3-channel SC9 comes with a wireless subwoofer and includes LG's Synergy Bracket, engineered specifically for LG OLED C Series TVs. It works wall-mounted but can also serve as the TV's stand. The bracket presents a visually cohesive look and eliminates the need for drilling extra holes during installation.

Meanwhile, the compact 3.0-channel LG SE6's appearance is meant to blend seamlessly with interior décor thanks to its rounded-corner, fabric-wrapped appearance and compact size.

The point of a soundbar is to upgrade TV's audio. A key to good sound is room correction and the SE6 and SC9 models both feature LG's Triple Level Spatial Sound and Triple AI Sound Optimizer functions. AI Sound Pro analyzes audio content from movies, sports, games, or music and automatically adjusts settings in an effort to optimize the listening experience. AI Room Calibration assesses the room's environment, fine-tuning the Sound Bars' settings to optimize balance, vocal clarity, movie dialogue, and imaging.

For gamers, LG's newest Sound Bars also support VRR—in order to minimize screen tearing—and ALLM to reduce lag and handle up to 4K/120Hz pass-through.

When used in conjunction with an LG TV, LG Sound Bars offer features such as WOW Orchestra, which leverages both the Sound Bar and TV speakers concurrently, to generate an expansive soundstage with enhanced height, depth, and an increase in overall system power.

Along with the new soundbars, LG introduced the WOW Interface within the Home Dashboard on LG TVs, making it simple for users to manage their settings and synchronize sound modes. Also, according to LG, WOWCAST compatibility enables the Sound Bar C and SE6 Sound Bars to wirelessly connect to any compatible TV that is equipped with HDMI ARC and a USB input, without compromising sound quality or adding any delay.

The SC9 costs $999 while the SE6 sells for $450. Both models are available now. You can find more information about these new soundbars on LG.com.
