Harman Kardon's CEDIA Sneak Peek

Harman Kardon is going to make a splash at CEDIA 2008 in early September with a bevy of new products for the custom installation crowd (and maybe you too!).

Harman, probably best known for making A/V receivers, is introducing a state-of-the-art design including an HD onscreen GUI. A few more receivers will be shown including The Bridge II iPod docking station, plus multi-room setups.

What about the other companies under the Harman umbrella?

Infinity Systems will show off a new loudspeaker, wireless subwoofers, and other custom-install speaker options.

Controlnowaw JBL, Inc. will debut the WEM-1, the wireless expansion module that lets you make any speaker wireless, in addition to their own wireless subwoofers. The Control NOW speakers will also be shown off. Not just showing off speakers, JBL will also show off the Performance Series AV2 preamp/surround processor.

JBL Synthesis will be introducing the LS Series speakers and a new digital EQ/crossover, to make custom installs sound like custom installs.

Another exhibit will showcase the Audioaccess W.H.E.N., Whole House Entertainment Network.

Avr21en Looks like a bunch of new products that everyone can use, custom or not, and it looks like wireless is the hot new ticket. Can't wait to see what else is gonna be at CEDIA. -Leslie Shapiro
