Harman Kardon Bridging the iPod Gap

Harman Kardon just announced a sexy little iPod dock designed to work seamlessly with HK's new A/V receiver line. The Bridge II is an iPod dock that's compatible with all dockable iPods except the Shuffle. The snazzy number is a complete controller that provides audio, video, and control link information through a single cable. No additional power adapter is required - The Bridge II gets power from the HK The Bridge-ready connected receiver. iPod not included. Keep reading for more details.

Thebridgeii The Bridge II is even compatible with iPhones. It provides on-screen iPod menus, but even better, it will also display that information on the front panel of the receiver -- if you're just listening to music, no need to mess with your TV to see what you're doing. This is nice.

The remotes that are supplied with the new The Bridge-ready receivers work to control iPod playback, including access to menus.

The price for The Bridge II is a bit high at $129, but it's included with Harman Kardon's new AVR 354 A/V receiver which will be available in a few months. Pricey, but hot.  Isn't that true with most things??Leslie Shapiro
