Poll Results: Sonos Preferred for Wireless Music

25% – Nope, my stack of audio gear is hard wired.

5% – Yes, I have a Bluetooth-enabled system and I love it.

4% – I don’t have a wireless music system but my whole house is hard-wired for sound.

3% – Yes, I have a Sonos system and it’s okay.

1% – Yes, I have a Bluetooth-enabled system but I don’t like it.

I have wireless kind of system at home but none of the options you put up match exactly this:
I have a PC with all my music streaming wireless and a Squeezebox Touch (or something like it) and an amp wired to wired speakers.

I also have a wireless system (in a sense) that doesn't match any of these options either.

I run VLC on my media server, which has a digital coax running into the receiver. VLC has all sorts of smartphone and tablet apps to control the music wirelessly. I run controller apps on both my phone and my tablet.

It's a homebrew option that works just as well as any of those overpriced options on the list.. But didn't cost anything except for a cheap USB->SPDIF converter that works great. (Firestone RedKey)

Yes, what is the point of such a survey that is so closed, particularly when there are so many popular wireless options that have appeared on this very site? This seems to be a sonos/no sonos survey, really...

Squeezebox Touch here.

Curious how many people have purchased any of the emerging wifi connected amps and the spendier streaming solutions from both the common and boutique brands...
