The Cylons were created by man to make life easier in the Twelve Colonies, but things didn't work out so well for the humans. The "toasters" turned on their masters by orchestrating a sneak attack to eradicate the human race. Although the show is mostly a dialog-driven drama, there are a lot of intense action scenes that offer many demo-worthy audio moments throughout its four seasons.

When tragedy brings fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) back to Los Angeles, his long-dormant feud with FBI agent Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) threatens to reignite—until they discover a common enemy. Unfortunately, this film is about six years too late—Vin Diesel should have been in the first sequel rather than skipping to the third—but it's quite the demo showpiece. The video encode has excellent shadow detail with bright colors, and the first-rate DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio track exhibits outstanding surround imaging and impressive frequency response.

From the director of The Nightmare Before Christmas comes another visually stunning, stop-motion animated feature—the first to be shot using stereoscopic 3D. Although the 3D experience doesn't translate well to Blu-ray, the 2D feature is amazingly clear with inky blacks and phenomenal contrast. The detail on the miniature sets looks surprisingly lifelike, from the fabric used for curtains to the textures of the characters' clothing and even their expressions. The audio track doesn't take a back seat to the video, either, featuring demo-worthy surround imaging.

The Cylons were created by man to make life easier on the Twelve Colonies. Then one day, the Cylons decided to kill their masters. After a long and bloody struggle, an armistice was declared. The Cylons left for another world to call their own, and a remote space station was built where Cylons and humans could meet and maintain diplomatic relations. Every year, the Colonies sent a representative, and every year, the Cylons sent no one. Humans haven't seen or heard from the Cylons in over 40 years. Until now…

Based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 recreates the Battle of Thermopylae in 280 BC, when Persia's King Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) had his sights set on Greece as the next country to conquer. Xerxes brought his huge army to Thermopylae where he met King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and his 300 Spartans, which held the much larger force at bay for three days.

It's the early 1940s in London, and love is budding between Vera (Keira Knightley) and a handsome soldier, William (Cillian Murphy). Unfortunately, the film is a total bore, but it does offer some exceptional video and mind-blowing audio. The dialog is crystal clear, and the soundstage features realistic ambience, but it's the massive explosions that really set this track apart from many. The scenes listed below will transport you to another time and give the illusion that the Germans are coming after you.
