Newly dubbed forensics expert Geoffrey Morrison performs an iPod autopsy.

Whatever you do, no matter what limb or child you have to jeopardize, do not drop your iPod. It's easy to let small, slippery, shiny things loose, but, in this case, bad things will happen.

Lucas, Rodriguez, and you?

Buy a tripod. That is my sagelike advice after three (admittedly terrible) student films and just enough film school to ruin movies for me forever. Once you have a tripod, things become much easier.

How do you follow up a winner?

Way back in our July 2004 issue, we reviewed this projector's predecessor, which wasn't known as the MARK I. We liked the XV-Z12000's performance so much, we gave it our 2005 RAVE Award for Best Overall Projector. Just a few months shy of two years later, we got a chance to play with the MARK II version.

Judging from the sheer number of comments I got on my last blog entry about Blu-ray, I’m beginning to suspect you don’t care about these next generation DVD formats. If so, why? Or if it’s just because ya’ll find me boring and aren’t reading my blog anymore, that is just fine with me. I can just talk to myself. I find myself very amusing. Ask anyone.

You can find Part 1 in the March issue.

I consider myself a fairly intelligent person. I would say I am fairly knowledgeable in the workings of consumer electronics gear and computers. I took several film and video classes in college, and even interned at a video production house. I would consider myself qualified to work a video camera, and a computer. Then why in all things holy CAN'T I GET THIS THING TO WORK?

In the March issue I did a Hook Me Up on how to shoot in HD. I mentioned there would be web content with links to HD resources and such. You can find that very web content here. Don’t bother reading it if you haven’t read the first part, ah, first.
