Echostar Communications and Viacom Inc. have settled their rate hike dispute. The two adversaries reached an agreement late Wednesday, March 10. Within twenty minutes of signing the deal, Viacom programming returned to the Echostar lineup.

Is 3D dead? That’s the question being asked in the wake of news that ESPN plans to close its ESPN 3D cable channel by the end of the year due to low demand—so low that audience ratings were below Nielsen's measurable threshold, according to a StarTribune report.

I recently was lucky enough to have a tour of the Bowers &Wilkins (B&W) Loudspeaker factory in Worthing, England. The full story, and loads more pictures will be published in the February issue of Home Theater Magazine (out mid-Jan), but I couldn't wait until then to show you at least a couple of images of how undeniably cool and painstakingly precise the loudspeaker build process is. . .
