Silverline Audio Announces Corona Mk.II Loudspeaker

What do you call a loudspeaker that works with any amp, plays loud and clean, offers amazing detail, window-rattling bass, and looks good in any home? Alan Yun calls it the "Corona Mk.II."

The latest from Silverline Audio Technology is a three-way bass reflex column sporting a 1" dome tweeter, two 4" midrange drivers, and two 8" woofers. You'll ownder how you ever listened to your old speakers once you've installed a pair of these beauties: they are rated to handle up to 500 watts of input power. Not that you'll need it, of course: the Corona Mk.II's 93dB sensitivity puts it near the top of the class in terms of efficiency. A frequency response extending down to 25Hz all but eliminates the need for a subwoofer.

The narrow front baffle is only ten inches wide; meaning you won't have to rearrange your home theater to fit in a pair of Coronas. A choice of veneers---curly maple, cherry, or rosewood---insures that they will blend seamlessly into any décor. Yun recommends the "Center Stage" as the sonically matched center channel. A pair of Corona Mk.IIs is priced at $4500, and will be on their way to a dealer near you in late August.
