Dive into "Oceans" from Disneynature - the studio that brought you earth for a spectacular story about remarkable creatures under the sea. Stunning images await as you journey into the depths of a wonderland filled with mystery, beauty and power. It's an unprecedented look at the lives of these illusive deepwater creatures through their own eyes. Incredible state-of-the-art-underwater filmmaking will take your breath away as you migrate with whales, swim alongside a great white shark and race with dolphins at play. Filled with adventure, comedy and drama, Oceans is a fascinating and thought-provoking experience you'll never forget.

Nature videos always seem to be the show off material of choice for your local TV store and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one get some heavy rotation at the displays. Oceans features some jaw dropping photography with startling clarity and detail. You also get to see some of the most bizarre and beautiful sea life ever put to film. Typically underwater photography is plagued with banding and other compression annoyances, but none of that is present here. The film’s soundtrack is also quiet good with narration by Bond man Pierce Brosnan. You get the nature sound of the ocean’s rhythmic waves and sea life and some mild orchestration. But the ocean can be awfully dynamic and this track is a testament to its power.

Extras are a bit limited despite the 2-disc release. The second disc is a DVD copy of the film with the most of the same supplemental material. You get a music video and a look at the Disney Nature theme. You also get some bonus footage from the production.

I wish there were nature features this enthralling when I was young. I just hope this new generation can appreciate the wonder of the images they are seeing from features like this. I can’t wait to share them with my family, you should definitely share it with yours.
