ZVOX Z-Base 550 Single-Cabinet Surround System HT Labs Measures
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Z-Base 550 Sound System (purple trace). The left channel was measured with grille at a distance of 1 meter with the Phase Cue control set to minimum and the Treble and Subwoofer controls set to the middle of their ranges.
The Z-Base 550’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures + 1.87 /– 4.56 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +2.20/–4.13 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 54 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 48 Hz.—MJP
