Hi, I am new to this site and am going through the reviews so that I can select a good AV Receiver.

My question is about the 'Test Bench' scores. Is there a page explaining how to read/interpret these scores?

I believe this model is rated at 90 wpc x2 channels driven. What is the 149.7 watts on this page? Also, does the output drop drastically to 38 and 32 watts respectively when 5 or 7 channels are driven?

How do these numbers relate to the total power consumption of 440 in this model's specs?

I am looking for a receiver within $1000 with good power (not dropping so drastically when all channels are driven). I have seen models with 110 wpc in their specs but their total power consumption is only 220 watts. So, will the output drop to 40 watts when 5 channels are driven?

Based on announced specs, will the performance of the new RX-V777BT be close to this 775 reviewed? The reason I have been looking at Yamaha models more is because their reliability rating is highest on various forums, compared to other brands.

Thanks.
Satyaa
