Ultrasone's new heavy-duty hi-fi headphones
Headphone maker Ultrasone has just unveiled its newest flagship model, the HFI-2400. The new headphones feature 40mm gold-plated drivers, an open-backed design, and a relatively hefty price tag.
Besides its attractive design, the HFI-2400 doesn't seem very different from Ultrasone's earlier hi-fi model, the HFI-2200. The new model uses the same drivers as the HFI-2200, and employs similar technology as other Ultrasone headphones. The company's S-Logic technology drives the headphones' sound processing, and its MU Metal shielding reduces electromagnetic interference, according to Ultrasone.
The HFI-2400 will retail for $330 when it ships in early November. It will come with the headphones, a 3-meter removable cable, and a demo CD.
