TiVo Arrives on BlackBerry

While it's already possible to schedule TiVo recordings from a mobile phone, BlackBerry is going one step further. Research In Motion, big berry parent of the BlackBerry just partnered with TiVo to bring a software application to the phones that make it simple to view the program guide and schedule recordings remotely. But, they're hinting they're working to bring "mobile access to video content."  Sounds to me like you'll be able to sling your TiVo'ed content directly to your BlackBerry.

Pretty cool, if you ask me.

ALVISO, CA and WATERLOO, ON. – TiVo Inc. The new relationship brings TiVo and RIM together to develop a variety of mobile entertainment services that marry RIM's leading BlackBerry® smartphones with the content delivered to consumers through the Emmy-winning TiVo® service.  Initially, BlackBerry smartphone users will gain the convenience of being able to discover what shows are on and schedule television recordings while away from the living room and on the go.  Future collaboration between the companies will focus on software applications that further simplify mobile access to video content.
