I see that the upper -3dB is measured with LPF set to max ..
How about after using LFE ? Is 200 Hz crossover achievable ?

I am looking at the SVS Prime Satellite and Klipsch Quintet. Which is the better system at the this price point? Is there another better option?

I read a lot of different reviews on Sound and Vision before recently pulling the trigger on an SVS SB-1000 sub. This post is my first on this site and is my attempt at paying back all the great info I've gathered in articles and posts.

The high ratings that the listening community gives the SB-1000 were confirmed in my living room. This recent addition has transformed by trustworthy 1990s era HK-3350 receiver driving similarly-aged B&W DM601s into an amazing home stereo system. (Sure I could upgrade but I wanted to see how much new life this sub could breathe into this system.)

The speed, accuracy, and punch of the SB-1000 is astonishing. Its compact size (especially when compared with ported designs) makes it easy to place in a room. The multiple inputs (pre, LFE, and high level) makes it easy to connect to any system.

The SB-1000 continues to retail in the States at the $500 mark thru SVS. Due to dollar differentials in my country, the price comes in at around $650 Canadian. So those outside the US need to be prepared. There are few SVS retailers here, but the one I dealt with (Sonic Boom Audio in Toronto) had great product knowledge — giving me the confidence to complete an out-of-town order.

I’m really happy with my SVS SB-1000 and Is worth serious consideration by those seeking an accurate and responsive subwoofer offering a serious punch at a very competitive price.
