L/R Sensitivity: 90 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

Center Sensitivity: 93 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

Surround Sensitivity: 89.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the RM40T L/R (purple trace), PSW404 subwoofer (blue trace), RM302 center channel (green trace), and RM201 surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grills at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.

The RM40T's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +2.36/–3.53 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3dB point is at 84 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 65 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.89 ohms at 7.4 kHz and a phase angle of –53.80 degrees at 111 Hz.

The RM302's listening-window response measures +1.43/–3.25 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +1.08/–2.76 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 103 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 78 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.66 ohms at 8.1 kHz and a phase angle of –59.12 degrees at 132 Hz.

The RM201's listening-window response measures +1.06/–4.84 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 141 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 124 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.54 ohms at 435 Hz and a phase angle of –61.01 degrees at 213 Hz.

The PSW404's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3dB point is at 34 Hz and the –6dB point is at 32 Hz. The upper –3dB point is at 139 Hz using the LFE input.—MJP
