Oppo BDP-93 Disc Player Sweepstakes

If you've been drooling over Oppo's new universal disc players—and let's face it, who among our readers hasn't?—here's your chance to snag one for free in our latest sweepstakes! We're giving away a BDP-93, valued at $499, which is widely considered to be among the finest disc players available today at any price.

The BDP-93 is a bona fide overachiever, providing everything that Blu-ray currently has to offer, including 3D with two HDMI 1.4a outputs (in case your AVR or pre/pro can't pass 3D signals to your display), 24fps output, BD-Live with 1GB of internal memory and wireless-n capability, BonusView, DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD bitstreaming and decoding, and 7.1-channel analog outputs. As a true universal disc player, it not only plays Blu-rays, DVDs, and CDs, but also SACD and DVD-Audio discs for all you audiophiles out there. And if that isn't enough to get excited about, the BDP-93 also provides access to a wide variety of online streaming content from the likes of Netflix, Vudu, and Blockbuster On Demand, as well as your own digital media files on networked devices, USB storage devices, and even eSATA hard drives connected directly to the player. The latest Marvell Qdeo video processor assures superior video performance from any source.

If you don't already have one, click on the link labeled "register" at the bottom of this announcement or "Create new account" in the right column. I never thought I would have been a fan of the Oppo Blu-ray player until I saw my friend with the Oppo-Bdp-83. That Blu-ray player on a Pioneer Elite was the most amazing thing I ever saw to this date. I received a true education on Oppo from my friend with his HT setup. I could only dream of having the setup that he had. I was very jealous at one point, but I had to humble himself because I said with enough work I can get one as well. He brags about how great the 83 is and there was no need to get the 93. I told him when I get the money I would purchase the 93, but I need a great tv to match up with that blu-ray player. Times are tough and it would be great to have that release of watching a movie, so you could forget about the tough times today.

In do time, I will get that BDP-93, but for now I will just use my HD DVD player. It has a great picture, but I want the best. They say, "Great Things Happen to Those Who Wait."

I need this because the only blu ray player we have is the ps3 which is always being used by someone else in the house as a video game system (the shame!)... so i need my own. thanks!

My PS3 recently died and I have been missing having a bluray player. Winning this would solve that issue quite nicely.

Sorry for the lame pun. I would seriously use almost every function the Oppo deck offers, including SACD and DVD-Audio playback. This player would obviously make the most of my Blu-ray and DVD video library as well. We rent and stream Netflix, too.

Scott, love listening to and watching Home Theater Geeks. Great show.
