Marchon to Make 3D Glasses

Marchon Eyewear, famed for its Flexon frames, has licensed technology from RealID with the intent of making 3D glasses that also function as sunglasses.

The Marchon/RealID glasses will be distributed through theaters, retailers, e-tailers, and equipment manufacturers worldwide. Marchon says it can make passive 3D eyewear in any format (but does not mention active shutter glasses). In addition to their 3D prowess, the glasses will block 100 percent of UVA and UVB rays.
