Join the Vinyl Resurgence with Arcam’s rPhono

Arcam expanded its rSeries of products with the release of the new rPhono phono stage preamplifier. The new executive-sized component resides in a stylish aluminum case with the sole function of allowing vinyl lovers to enjoy their collections regardless of hardware combination or configuration. To ensure maximum compatibility and optimal matching regardless of cartridge type, rPhono offers a huge variety of adjustments.

Designed to replace low performing built-in phono amplifiers or add a turntable to an existing system, the rPhono accepts either Moving Coil (MC) or Moving Magnet (MM) cartridges. To dial in the maximum performance, MC loads can be adjusted between 50-550 Ohms, while MM loads are selectable between 120, 220, 340, and 440pF. The component also provides adjustable output gain from 30, 40, 50, 52dB for MM and 60, 70, 80, 82 dB for MC. Also on hand is a low frequency “rumble” filter to eliminate any pressing irregularities or warping that might exist in the record.

The rPhono benefits from Arcam’s more than 40 years of analog audio expertise, and incorporates the finest parts and high-end audio circuitry in a layout optimized for low noise and distortion. Further, individually regulated power supplies ensure rPhono maintains an audiophile quality output stage.

Product is expected to be available in Q1 for $600.
