JBL is On Time

JBL is taking the time to make a great iPod dock. The new On Time 200iD is a wonderful way to keep time with your favorite iPod tunes. A clock radio and iPod dock - does it get any better?

The JBL On Time 200iD provides an acceptable six watts of power into two channels. Yup, it's a stereo system, and the frequency response is listed at 10 Hz  - 20,000 Hz. I have a feeling that 10 Hz is a bit of an exaggeration, but it's still okay for a clock radio. It also has an FM radio with the alarm clock.

For even more input options, the 200iD has a USB port, and the LCD screen keeps you up to date. You don't need the morning news to tell you it's compatible with all iPods. Not an iPod fan? There's an AUX input so you can use any MP3 player, Shuffle, or any other portable device, you want.

Ontimejbl According to JBL, "The integration of devices to deliver a superior experience is what the new JBL On Time 200iD system is all about," said Christopher M. Dragon, director of brand marketing for the Harman Consumer Group Mobile, Portable and Companion Products Division. "There are many clock radios with iPod docking capability, but none with legendary JBL audio quality."

The On Time 200iD was announced at CES 2008 way back in January, and it's finally set for release at a suggested price of $199.95. -Leslie Shapiro
