The HBO limited series The Night Of starring John Turturro is available for download today and hits DVD and Blu-ray October 18.

The series, which delves into the intricacies of a complex New York City murder case with cultural and political overtones, was a critical and ratings sensation over the summer.

In The Night Of, Pakistani-American college student Nasir "Naz" Khan, who lives with his parents in Queens, NY, takes his father's taxi to go to a party in Manhattan. What starts as a perfect night becomes a nightmare when Naz is arrested for murder. The series examines the police investigation, the legal proceedings, the criminal justice system and Rikers Island, where the accused await trial.

Based on the BBC series Criminal Justice, The Night Of was created and executive produced by Steven Zaillian, who won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for Schindler's List, and Richard Price, Oscar nominee for Best Adapted Screenplay for The Wire and The Color of Money.
