GoldenEar Technology TritonCinema Three Speaker System HT Labs Measures

HT Labs Measures

L/R Sensitivity: 89 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

Center Sensitivity: 91 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

Surround Sensitivity: 90 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Triton Three L/R (purple trace), SuperSat 50C center channel (green trace), and SuperSat 3 surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.

The Triton Three’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +0.97/–3.95 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3dB point is at 27 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 25 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.21 ohms at 124 Hz and a phase angle of –50.42 degrees at 101 Hz.

The SuperSat 50C’s listening-window response measures +2.34/–4.35 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +2.31/–6.00 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 88 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 72 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.05 ohms at 338 Hz and a phase angle of –38.84 degrees at 218 Hz.

The SuperSat 3’s listening-window response measures +3.29/–3.01 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 179 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 157 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.56 ohms at 374 Hz and a phase angle of –40.89 degrees at 254 Hz.—MJP
