ESPN for Xbox LIVE Gets a Makeover

Love your Xbox 360? Want more control over your live sports viewing? Microsoft has you covered with a host of upgrades to their ESPN for Xbox LIVE service (which requires an Xbox LIVE Gold membership, though you'll incur no additional cost beyond the subscription fee). You'll find plenty of high-def sports content as before from ESPN3 and ESPN.com, but the new update adds voice control via the Kinect, a Split Screen option (shown here) which'll let you watch two events at once, with independent pause and rewind so you can maximize your multitasking, and highly enhanced scheduling, search, and alert functions, letting you organize offerings for easier browsing according to your favorite sports, set reminders, and get daily news updates via a personalized feed. As if you needed an excuse to spend more time in front of your set.
