Elite Screens Saker Motorized Projection Screen Available in Two Versions

Elite Screens has announced that that its Saker motorized projection screen is now available in two versions: with side tension cords or with a fiberglass backing, both designed to provide a flat projection surface.

Suitable for wall or ceiling installation, with sliding wall brackets that facilitate proper centering, both versions feature an enameled aluminum casing and IR/RF (infrared/radio frequency) control package that includes standard and wireless 5-12-volt triggers and an RJ45 control port.

The fiberglass-backed Saker has a rated gain of 1.1 and uses Elite’s MaxWhite FG material with black backing to eliminate light penetration for enhanced picture brightness; the material is also Greenguard Gold (UL 2818) certified for indoor air quality and compliant with NFPA 701 fire-retardant standards. The tab-tensioned screen also has a rated gain of 1.1 but uses Elite’s CineWhite PVC material with black backing and masking.

Both screens have integrated up/down controls for making minor adjustments and a 110-volt, 38-watt synchronous motor with built-in overheat protection that turns at 7-10 rpm.

The screens ship fully assembled and are available in sizes ranging from 100 to 150 inches with a 9- to 24-inch top border in either a 16:9 or 16:10 (WXGA) aspect ratio. An extended top border of 20 to 30 inches is available to accommodate high-ceiling installations.
