Denon rolls out new receivers and Blu-ray players

Denon has announced several new home theater products, including eight new A/V receivers and two new Blu-ray Disc players.

For the retail market, Denon unveiled the AVR-391, AVR-591, AVR-791, AVR-891, and AVR-991. The 391 and 591 are 5-channel receivers, while the 791, 891, and 991 are 7-channel. They all feature HDMI v1.4a repeaters, on-screen interfaces, and support iPod connectivity, and the 791 and higher models can directly connect to the iPod via USB. The 591, 791, and 891 receivers ship in May and will retail for $349, $499, and $799 respectively. The 391 and 991 ship in July, and will retail for $249 and $999.

For custom installers, Denon introduced the AVR-2311CI, AVR-3311CI, and AVR-4311CI. All 3 receivers are built for numerous control systems, including Control4 certification. The 3311CI and 4311CI in particular feature Ethernet connections for IP control systems. The 2311CI and 3311CI ship in June and will retail for $899 and $1,199. The 4311CI ships in September, and will retail for $1,999.

Finally, Denon also announced the DBP-1611UD and DBP-2011UDCI Blu-ray Disc players. Both players are "universal" media players, and can play DVDs, DVD-Audio discs, and even SACDs in addition to Blu-ray Discs. They both offer Netflix and Youtube streaming, DLNA 1.5 certification for networked storage devices, and 1 GB of internal memory for BD-Live features. The 2011UDCI also includes Anchor Bay decoding technology, Burr-Brown 32-bit, 192kHz audio DACs, and RS232 connectivity for remote control systems. The 1611UD ships in June and will retail for $399, and the 2011UDCI ships in August, and will be available for $799.
