Monitor Audio Introduces A100 Music Streamer/Amplifier

Great Britain’s Monitor Audio introduced the sleek and uniquely styled A100 music streamer/amplifier at CEDIA Expo 2014. The unit packs a 50-watt Class AB amplifier and high-resolution digital-to-analog converter intro a compact, curved chassis that is sure to raise a few eyebrows.

Designed to be used on its own or as part of a TV-based audio system, the DLNA-compatible A100 has digital and analog inputs, a front-panel USB port, a subwoofer output, and supports wireless streaming via AirPlay/AirPlay Direct and Monitor’s own Airstream app, which turns an i-device into a touch-panel controller. The app is designed to help you find uncompressed and high-bit-rate music files stored on your network.

The A100 includes a remote control and can be laid flat or stood on end (as shown here) with the supplied stand. The stylish component is available in black or white with glass accents for a suggested retail price is $500.
