CES 2012: Headphones

Surely there’s never been such a vast display of headphones in the history of the universe as at CES 2012. From super-high-end models to bottom-feeder stuff, there was something for every budget and every taste.

In fact, there were so many companies offering headphones I felt sorry for some of them, as they sat quietly in the lightly trafficked back half of the South Hall with their knockoff Beats headphones, waiting for someone to stop by and say hi. But that would have meant I’d have to listen to the headphones, so I kept on walking. My fear of bad sound outweighs my compassion.

We’ve already detailed the headphone introductions from House of Marley, Monster, Parrott, and Sony. Now here’s a bunch more cool new cans I found at CES. It’s not a comprehensive list by any means. (For example, I totally missed the new headphones “endorsed” by the late Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls.) I’m sure there are plenty more that eluded me, but this collection at least gives you a good idea of the headphone action at CES.
